I really hope not. Let's get somebody in there who has the courage of his/her convictions and is not wishy-washy about clearly stating them for all to hear. On "pocketbook" and "breakfast table" issues, progressives will win every single damn time. All they need to do is separate themselves from their usual Ivy league coterie and talk directly to the working and middle classes. They should get some friends who graduated from community college, or who are solid, blue collar workers. They should start to really FEEL the issues that most of us experience out here on a daily basis. That's how you win the people to your side.
